Job Description
SARA is seeking senior engineers/physicists with established records of accomplishment in High Power Microwave (HPM) research and development. Candidates should have experience in one or more of the following: analyses/modeling and design of HPM-capable antennas and waveguides; design and modeling of HPM sources; design/modeling of compact high-voltage pulsed-power generation systems and transmission lines; application of HPM diagnostics; planning and execution of experiments with HPM sources and antennas; electronic device, material, and subsystem characterizations; measurement of transient waveforms in both narrowband and wide-band pulsed HPM/HPRF systems; and HPM/HPRF/EMP effects testing. .
Requirements
- Possess the ability to independently devise, setup, conduct and analyze tests using instruments to investigate performance characteristics.
- Familiar with the use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Visio.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Must have strong documentation skills.
- Must be able to interact and lead a team of engineers, subcontractors and customers during the analysis, design and implementation phases of a project.
- Knowledge of the Systems Engineering processes, procedures and techniques.
- Must be able to obtain a clearance.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
- U.S. Citizenship required for Security Clearance purposes.
- Travel up to 1 week or more per month may be required.
- Position location: Albuquerque, NM or Cypress, CA.
