Operations Administrator & Junior Security Officer


 

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced administrator with an emphasis in facility operations and business administration to work within a growing dynamic engineering environment in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A secondary function of this position is working with our current FSO to transfer some security duties and train for future growth in this aspect of the job.

Requirements

Must be able to obtain a TS Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Junior Security Officer


    Serve as a Security Officer whom oversees implementation of the DoD National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). Responsible for the oversight of all aspects of industrial security programs, to include
    • Personnel, Physical and Oversight of Computer security
    • Handling of Classified Material
    • End of Day Check Procedures
    • Visitor Control
    • COMSEC
    • Security Education
    • Preparing for DSS Annual Security Reviews
    • Manage Operation of SCIFs & STEs
  • Operations Administrator


    Serves as a Business Administrator whose primary duties reside in Facility and Operation Maintenance
    • Facility Maintenance
    • Support Staff in project based work
    • Maintain hardcopy and electronic operations filing system
    • General Business Administrative Duties (Clerical and Reception duties
    • Answering Phones
    • Personnel management and facility planning
    • Other administrative duties as required

Skills

Candidate will interact with customers daily and must be an excellent communicator in oral and written formats and have the ability to work well with a wide range of people. Must be a team player and must be capable of working independently. The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications with a strong emphasis in Excel and Word. Additionally, it is highly important that the candidate be able to multi task while remaining detail oriented. He or she must be able to work well with a multitude of distinct personalities. This position requires a minimum of 1 year experience in the Industrial Security Field. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who will help us to further develop our security and operations procedures and policies.

Education

Two to three years of experience in Business Administration. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus but is not required. FSO Curriculum courses through STEPP completed and one year of security experience.
