Proposal Manager


 

Job Description

The Proposal Manager will have responsibility to manage all phases of the proposal development process in response to U.S. government and commercial requests for proposals (RFP). The Proposal Manager will assist in the identification of proposal opportunities; manage all aspects of proposal preparation, revision and submission; and coordinate inputs from technical, contracts, and finance departments; and coordinate internal reviews with upper management.

Requirements

Candidate must possess outstanding communication skills (written and oral); including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project software packages. Must demonstrate the necessary personality and leadership skills to engage and motivate a diverse group of scientists, consultants and subcontractors. Must have a working knowledge of DoD contract types, GSA and FAR. Must be able to independently define, schedule and manage the proposal preparation process. Must be able to identify and develop relationships with teaming partners. Candidate must demonstrate a capability to prepare winning proposals under tight schedule constraints.

Must be a US citizen. Must have or be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance. Must be able to flex work hours as self determined or requested by immediate supervision. Must be able to travel (5-10% of the time). Requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
