Job Description

Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. is a leading edge Research & Development Company with a wide spectrum of technologies in commercial and military applications. We have expertise in electromagnetic and acoustic sensors and detection systems; directed energy technologies; automated test data management signal processing; small robotics; and renewable and alternative energy generation. We are looking for an entry level and a mid-level Pulse Power & RF Engineer with skills in pulse power and diagnostics, CW testing and diagnostics, and non-linear modeling.

Requirements

The positions include a wide range of challenging and interesting work. The work involves both high voltage (10-100’s of kV) and high frequency equipment (10-100’s of MHz) and attention to detail and safety is critical. Experience or interest in hardware is vital and required and some data acquisition related software experience or capability is an advantage. Circuit modeling including non-linear magnetics and pulse power related circuit models would be an advantage. Experience with RTDS a plus. Experience in writing technical reports and descriptions is also a plus. Significant travel is required (3-6 weeks in a row once or twice a year with other one-week trips). As in most small companies, the applicant must be capable of multitasking and managing their own time. A four year degree or two year degree with significant experience is required for both positions. The positions require work at government facilities and the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen capable of acquiring a government security clearance.
